Every day in class, we use these icons to further our discussions and push our projects to new heights. These icons lend themselves to the diverse classroom: every student learns, digests, thinks, and produces at their own level and speed; the icons help each student think critically about any subject and helps him feel proud of what he can accomplish while not overwhelming him or forcing him to compare his thoughts
and work to others. It gives students ownership over what they learn and research.

Whole Brain Teaching
Whole Brain Teaching is a kinesthetic, visual, and auditory approach to motivation, learning, and management in the classroom. It keeps the teacher from talking too long and it keeps the students engaged. (Both are good for all!)
Though the most important rules in room 8 are "Respect adults," "Respect peers," and "Respect yourself," we also follow WBT's 5 classroom rules and keep score each week.
We root for each other, we teach each other, and we move on when something doesn't work.
